This is the 3rd year that I am participating in this book meme which calls for answering a set of questions using titles of the books [you had] read during the year. The meme really helps to refresh my memory of what I read in the past year because said memory has been really faulty of late. Honestly, before I tallied my total count I thought that I read significantly less books this year in comparison to last year but, nope, this year I read only one book less. Not bad, eh? Considering that the annoyingly horrible reading slump is still clinging to me, I find the total count surprisingly good. 🙂 So in total, I’ve read 170 books and that doesn’t include the 10 books that were re-read. Yeah! By the way, thanks to Nath for reminding me of this meme because I saw her participation this year and it reminded me to do mine. Also thanks to Christine who first posted about the book meme three years ago and brought it to mine and various other bloggers’ attentions. It is fun to complete the meme and even more so to read others’ answers. 🙂
So now onward to my responses…

Awwww, Tabs! I’m so sorry to hear about you and you best friend. Ouch!
LOL, Good Girls Don’t. That’s a good answer!! And there’s a lot of “Hidden” in your answers… and thus in the titles! Interesting…
Happy New Year Tabs! I hope 2012 will be better!

Tabs! You did it! So glad…
I love your answers, but hmm… your best friend? Ouch…
I love that you want to go to “Summer at Seaside Cove!” Why didn’t I think of that? I wanted to go there too. LOL!
Hey, what did you think of Hidden Currents? (The book, not your life *g*)

170 books is totally amazing and I would count your rereads in your total. I did, anyway. 😉
GREAT answers. I want to go with you to ‘Summer at Seaside Cove’! .. and it’s barely been winter around here, but I’m ready for a day at the beach already!
I have to agree that ‘Spontaneous’ is the way to go..
Thanks for playing! xo

Nath – Thanks, I hope so too! Re: the “hidden” titles it just happened I read books with the word in the title; it wasn’t intentional or anything. LOL
Pepca – Thanks for dropping by. Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
Sherri – Thank you, I highly recommend Shelly Laurenston (PNR) and Jacquie D’Alessandro (contemporary romance) if you’re looking for some humor.
Hilcia – Sadly, the “best” and “friend” can’t be used together anymore.
Re: Hidden Currents, I did not enjoy the book very much. Elle was the 7th sister with all the powers and I was really hoping for some depth and heat when her relationship with Jackson comes through…suffice it to say, I did not enjoy it when they got together and they did not too long after the violence in her life. As well, the ending was too simple and a bit too much for me to grasp.

Christine – Sorry, I overlooked your comment! Guess what, I actually finished one more book on the 31st which was a total surprise since I didn’t think I would get to read that day. As a result, 2011 reading count tied with 2010! 🙂
I can’t wait for ‘Summer at Seaside Cove’ either as I’m not a fan of winter. My bones can’t stand the cold and that’s anything 70 degrees and below. 😦
Yes yes, I would prefer spontaneous rather than lingering pain….and thank YOU for hosting the meme.
